On May 6th, 2017, 10 CTNSBE Members earned degrees from the UConn School of Engineering. Members obtained degrees ranging from environmental engineering to computer science. You can learn more about the background of each of these graduates here.
From the Hartford Courant it was stated:
“Nearly 700 students graduated Saturday from UConn’s engineering school, a large slice of about 6,000 undergraduates who are participating in commencement this year, according to the Office of the Registrar. The undergraduate schools of general studies, fine arts, agriculture, health and natural resources also held commencements Saturday, along with the Graduate School and School of Pharmacy. In all, UConn is awarding more than 9,000 undergraduate and graduate degrees this year, the highest number in the university’s 136 years. Of those graduates, 53 percent are female and about 4,800 are natives of Connecticut, according to the Office of the Registrar. Another 172 graduates hail from 29 other countries.”
