Binghamton University – Research Experiences for Undergraduates in Renewable Energy Generation and Storage

“Join an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers in our new state of the art facilities at Binghamton University for a hands on summer research and professional development experience. This NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program in Renewable Energy Generation and Storage will address important scientific, technological, and training needs in the energy sector with research opportunities ranging from battery and supercapacitor materials to photovoltaics and energy efficient systems.”

Program dates: May 29 – August 3, 2018

Application window: February 1 – March 15, 2018

Student support being offered:

  • $5000 stipend
  • Housing in dormitories if needed
  • Travel subsidy to and from Binghamton

Activities:

  • Research with distinguished faculty from Chemistry, Physics, Materials and Engineering
  • Training in renewable energy and storage, scientific presentation, career development
  • Group social activities and networking
