Engineering Your Future is a one-day hands-on conference for 8th-grade boys underrepresented in the field of engineering. The program aims to expose students to role models in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics or STEM. Interacting with engineering students and professional engineers who look like them opens their eyes to career possibilities that they may not have considered. Reaching boys at an early age allows them to make necessary decisions in high school, preparing them for the pursuit of a STEM degree in college. CTNSBE helps plan and lead this event in collaboration with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. By educating young students on the various engineering pathways, and showing them that being a black engineer is within their grasp allows us to accomplish our mission in positively impacting the community.
